Love is in the air when Terry moves in!

APtravelnews-January 25th, Frederick, MD.-“Bob and Barb on the Road Again-When we left our S. Florida home on the way to Frederick, MD to visit our sons new Market Street Fusion Restaurant, we again calculated that the half-way point for some rest, relaxation before heading another 500-miles was our favorite stopover; Florence, S. Carolina-this was not our first stopover there. Florence has one of the very best tourism representative in the Florence Convention and Visitors Bureau   in the person of Holly Beaumier. She told us that the very new Home 2 Suites by Hilton would be a great place for us to visit as they are very pet friendly, and Terry our “Critter” who loves and is loved by everyone he meets along with us, would be comfortable there. And we were! Dinner was a wonderful experience as well! We ate at Victors in downtown Florence, an area totally being revitalized into all manner of shops and restaurant locations. Victors was in Hotel Florence and the fare was quite excellent-this was no off the highway fast food joint! Barb and I along with Holly and her associate enjoyed fish and various seafood and meat dishes. We topped our dinner off with wonderful desserts with a few excellent quite home-made cheesecake offerings-very memorable all the way around!

"Modern and pretty" was our reaction when first entering our dog friendly hotel. Our suite was "sweet" and very comfortable bed too!

Bear With Me! Don’t Do This!

APtravelnews-Ely, Minnesota-A couple of summers ago! Barb and I wanted to see bears and we heard that there were wild bears at the Vince Shute Bear Viewing Sanctuary. Shute began leaving peanuts out for bears so they wouldn’t break into his cabin anymore. They weren’t tame at all, but were used to seeing people watching them. However, the people watched them from a distance and a safe viewing platform. We came before the platform was build and I took a chance letting Barbara get close to the sow bear and her cubs. In the image you can see the mother just before she turned and woofed at Barbara to stay back. The bear didn’t charge, Barb and I both got the picture we wanted and we both backed off. I shot this with a telephoto lens-frankly, Barb was way too close, but this time we got the bear, the bear didn’t get us!!!!

This is how not to photograph wildlife, especially a bear with cubs, especially not!

PiggyBack Rider Keeps Children Safe!

APtravelnews- Jan, 16th,-Port St. Lucie, FL. Today, more than ever before, keeping an eye on our children is vital in so many ways! But, just keeping an eye out for them, is not foolproof for their safety.  Read on: This children’s entrepreneurial item may very well be the answer to keeping them “fail-safe.”!   Recently, a child fell 200-feet off a cliff after running ahead of his father. They were visiting a very dangerous, yet picturesque overlook of the ocean. Amazingly, he survived with major injuries.  Another event also covered by the national media was a child slipping off a steep embankment, only saved by a relative, unsafely, but still being able to reach the child before he and the child would have been dashed on the granite rocks below.

We hear of missing children when a parent turned away for a moment and child walked away from their view or worse, grabbed by a devious stranger.  Today, there is simple, workable solution to keep a child very close and without the young one whining and pulling on their parents arm when tired or bored  in their short attention span, during a walk in the park, or shopping mall. “Riding the Bar”of  the Piggyback Rider keeps children safe and attentive too!

It has been said many times in the past that “necessity is the mother of invention” so it was in this case; Bryan Lifshitz and his brothers created the innovative Piggyback Rider; “A Dad Invented, Mom Approved” standing child carrier! The 3 brothers developed and fine-tuned the carrier to weigh less than 3-pounds, and yet allow a child from two and a half years old, to a child of up to 60-pounds to “ride the bar” on this back-pack like, stable, and safe carrier.

The Piggyback Rider® standing child carrier for older children has unlimited year-round use, while hiking, touring, shopping, walking, watching, exploring, wandering, bonding at amusement parks, carnival, sporting events, malls, markets and everywhere else you may go. It’s more than just getting there; it’s about an active interaction between parent and child, bringing you closer together in any adventure.  The Piggyback Rider child carrier backpack is ideal for all outings. Just think of it as well, as a way to introduce a child to any number of outdoor pursuits with your child in line of sight of what your passions may be safely shared with your child.

The multi-award winning Piggyback Rider standing child carrier  – has won more than two-dozen awards and has been featured on Good Morning America, Rachel Ray, Entrepreneur.com, ABC News, CBS, News, CNN Travel, Fodor’s Travel to name a few. This genuinely innovative child carrier will be the last piece of kid gear you need to buy.    These are just four Reasons You Need the Piggyback Rider standing child carrier, I’m sure you can think of many more!

  1. Safety – Never again fear crowds. The durable, built-to-last Piggyback Rider child carrier for older children makes it easy to keep your kid safe and by your side. Your core strength allows for excellent balance in the carry position for fatigue free walking and standing with weights up to 60-pounds!
  2. Adventure – The go-anywhere Piggyback Rider child carrier for older children is perfect for hiking, camping, and general worldliness. Don’t leave your kid at home– inspire their curiosity with your next adventure. Let them watch and participate when you’re taking a photograph, teach them fly casting methods, bird watching, or any outdoor sport endeavor your child can naturally be encouraged to participate in.
  3. Fun – Three words: Kids love it! Remember how happy your kid was the last time you lifted him or her up to participate in a better view? From the Zoo to Disneyland, parade or just that healthful hike in nature, life is more viewable, and better at six feet.
  4. Family Time – The Piggyback Rider child carrier backpack strengthens the physical and emotional  bondbetween child and parent – creating lasting, enjoyable “keeper memories” for both.           For more information: [email protected]   www.piggybackrider.com
