BurgerFI For Fast Delicious in Port St Lucie, on the Treasure Coast

Back on the Road Again, Barb and I felt like we were back in the good old days at our L.I. corner at BurgerFI. We lunched on beef Wagyu dogs with chili, great and tasty hand cut fries, 100-percent American Angus Beef burgers, with some of their 15 sauce fixins’ we love (mostly garlic based).

BurgerFI also offers craft beers, really tasty fresh cooked bacon, on super chicken filets, and specialty burgers. They also offer Vegefi burgers, too!  In easy walking distance from K.I., this place is now run and operated by a true food and beverage professional, who has just taken it over, and has years of Greek restaurant experiences. We ordered their super tasty, hand-spun frozen custard shakes. My shake was with bananas, and Barb had the chocolate crumble.  We learned, and were particularly happy with their products that have all ingredients, totally free of hormones, and zero antibiotics, ever.

We love Greek food, and the owner, who owns several other food emporiums, is Dimitrios Diamantopoulus.  Dimitrios knows and practices the secret of success for a great food spot: great consistency, cleanliness, and best management practices.  With 10-dfferent burger combo’s, several chicken and potato fry options, and great drinks, in both beers, custard shakes and soft drinks, this is a nice casual fast-food restaurant. You can order on-line too at burgerfi.com. Located just off St Lucie, West, Blvd. in front of the new Publics location. Picked this spot as its easy walking distance to K.I.

Tail Gators Brews & Grill

American Press Travel News–Tail Gators Brews & Grill—January 22, Bob and Barb “On The Road Again”–Since their establishment in 2014, Tail Gators food and cocktail emporium (now two locations in Port St Lucie) is delivering a great lunch and dinner experience to the Treasure Coast community.

Barb and I decided to dine there for lunch, and we were not disappointed. From the Mahi (dolphin fish) plate, to a rack of ribs and an appetizer of hot wings, we totally enjoyed every bite of Tail Gators offerings (yes, we took home those leftovers).

We were 1st  introduced to Gators by the Port St Lucie Fishing Club, many of their members attend a Wednesday, music bingo dinner event. We were invited by Frank, the Membership director, and have since attended this fun event when we are in town. Gators runs different fun specialty events each night, one night Poker and Tacos, another, Karaoke Trivia, and kids under 12-eat free, and the aforementioned Musical Bingo, a regular Bingo and dollar wing night too! The restaurant can seat a large clientele, so no one is too close and space is quite open.  Ashley, the G.M. at Gators is very proud of position at Gators and said just a year before, she was a waitress and worked up to management. She was very accommodating!

The ribs: Well, they were terrific, properly sauced, not drowned and the Cole slaw dish was emptied, that’s how good and tasty. The Mahi and fries were a meal big enough for two. No fishy smell or taste, taters were fried just right, and yes, the same coleslaw. Wings and drums, celery and blue cheese-a fine appetizer, that could have been a lunch on their own. The prices are quite moderate for the amount of food and its tasty quality. They do catering, and provide daily delivery. From Kings Isle you can be at a Gators in 10-minutes, one is on Peacock and the other is on Port St Lucie, Blvd. Give a call at: 772-879-2700 and over at Court Yard Circle at Peacock:772-446-9333.

Garlic chicken wings! Barb and I had a finger-licking good time with these well done wings!
More chicken, this time a bit spicy with peanuts, great noodles and a delicious sauce.

Barb and I enjoyed a nice and tasty dinner in this pub. We ordered the garlic chicken wings, lots of them. They were amongst the best we have ever ordered. The wings came with their home-made bleu cheese, carrots and their special house sauce. Very crispy, and not greasy. After looking over the menu for their main course, we decided on their fish n’ chips. The fish was coated in EBC Two Brother”s Pale Ale beet battet and Japanese bread crumbs, then deep fried. The dish came with crispy fries and Coleslaw.  We had Pad Thai noodle and chicken dish. It had light spice with al dente’ noodles. The noodles were covered with broiled chicken strips. It was the special of the night. The locals commented that they have a terrific burger.  They have dining on their patio. Since they are known for having over a selection of 20 local and hard to find craft beers. We sampled a few. That was a treat.

Take a look at their website: www.ebcwest.com or www.ellicottvillebrewing.com. Many evenings they are very busy, so call for reservations. (716) 679-7939.

Tin Fish Restaurant in Tradition Has New Dedicated Owner & Same Great Seafood!

Traditions Tin Fish Restaurant rocks with seafood!
Traditions Tin Fish Restaurant rocks with seafood!

APtravelnews-January 11th, Bob and Barb “On The Road Again” in Port St. Lucie, West, Traditions Square- One of the now many, Tin Fish Restaurants has a new owner, Rob Troup.  Rob is keeping with the excellent consistency that has been a hallmark of the Tin Fish ascendancy from one restaurant, to now several restaurants and going into the “full-metal-jacket” of franchising as well.

Over a couple of years now, we have dined at several of the Click-It Hot Restaurants and found the seafoods and fish to be in excellent taste and value. We just arrived home from Traditions Square Click-It Hot and from the shrimp, scallops, cod fish, Calamari (squid) their special spicy cole slaw, and mahi, mahi we are stuffed, but happy (we took home a good amount for tomorrow) campers! We also started off our meal with a solid cup of both corn and shrimp chowder, and clam chowder. Frankly, quite spectacular and I don’t offer that comment lightly! Do we recommend Tin Fish, a rousing “yes!”

Our delightful waitress delivered wonderfully tasty clam and also corn and shrimp chowders. The salad was quite beyond what we expected. It was so good we're going back just for this fine melange!
