APtravelnews-April 10th,-Punta Gorda-Bob and Barb “On The Road Again” this time, stopping to see, and also smell the old car-new car interiors and gorgeous bodies! We saw so many vehicles that brought back memories of events and loves. and that the word “nostalgia” alone couldn’t do this experience justice. Rick has an auction each year and is always buying and selling for his “hobby.” What a hobby 200-plus vehicles and counting! go: www.musclecarcity.net

APtravelnews- (American Press Travel News)-April 10th, Port Charlotte, FL. “Bob and Barb On The Road Again” and “Stopping to Smell the Roses” at Sleep Inn. As Authors, travel writers, freelance outdoors communicators, and specialty product representatives, as well as consumers too, we always strive to be able to overnight nest in quiet, comfortable rooms and surroundings. On this trip to Port Charlotte and environs, we found that “nest” at Sleep Inn & Suites on Kings Highway, just off I-75, Port Charlotte. The beds were comfy, the suite type room had everything to be comfortable. It included easy-use hot shower, good breakfasts, pet-friendly accommodations, a very nice pool, work-out room, and friendly, accommodating staff. There were restaurants in walking distance, and just hop, skip and jump onto I-75 we used to go towards all areas of Punta Gorda, Gasparilla, Placida and some other locations, both inland and waterfront that we wanted to visit. This pet-friendly location is a fine place to roost when visiting Port Charlotte and environs-highly recommended!! www.sleepinnportcharlotte.com Tel: 941-613-6300

APtravelnews-April 6th,-Port Charlotte, FL. Bob and Barb “Stopping to Smell The Roses.” After hurricane Charlie devastated Punta Gorda, Gasparilla and Port Charlotte area to name a few, locals and snow birds alike chipped right in with “good heart” labor and dollars, to begin the process of recuperating their beloved area. The Spirit of Punta Gorda Sundial was summarily installed to commemorate, and in remembrance of what Hurricane Charley wreaked on this area of S.W. Florida. Artist Peggy McTeague planned the sculpture for installation at the edge of Charlotte Harbor leading into the Peace River in Laishley Park. The park is dog-friendly and parents and their children friendly, as well!
