APtravelnews-Feb. 4th, New Smyrna Beach, FL.-Bob and Barb Still “Smelling the Roses” and this night, enjoying the menu dishes aromas at Norwood’s. When Ms. Linda, Manager at Norwood’s seated us on the downstairs level of this great food emporium, we looked around and noticed how incredibly satisfied the patrons seated around us were with their tasty looking dishes. We felt we really found a gem and as it turned out we were correct!
APtravelnews-Jan 19th,-Bob and Barb, Stopping to Smell the Roses, and chowing down at St Lucie West, FL-Linda’s Restaurant, on St Lucie West Blvd. First thing we both thought, was that so far we’ve visited and experienced mom and pop food spots, this time we are dining at a son and mom restaurant. Andy and mom Linda have got it “going on.” Want really good Chili, Andy makes it, want pastries and pies as well as “jumpin'” great apple, coconut, blueberry and other delightful muffins, mom makes them. This is a 7-day per week breakfast and lunch stop, for so many dedicated patrons and after we chowed down here for a breakfast veggie omelette and a marinated chicken breast with bacon, L&T on a Kaiser Roll, that Barb ordered, you knew (as I chewed the beans and delicious beef melange of Chili) as well as trying some chicken and beef soup, that this was our “it” place for lunch and breakfast from now on. The pies, oh the pies-chocolate as smooth as any gourmet restaurants can make it ,on a homemade crust that was worth eating too! An Apple pie that looked just out of a Amish oven (the best pies are Amish and Mennonite, we’ve found as we go “On The Road Again, & Again.” Hours are: 7 Mon-Friday and 7:30 Sat: and Sun. till 2pm. Come on Barb, it’s breakfast time again (next day as I write this) lets visit cousin Linda!
APtravelnews-January 11th, Bob and Barb “On The Road Again” in Port St. Lucie, West, Traditions Square- One of the now many, Tin Fish Restaurants has a new owner, Rob Troup. Rob is keeping with the excellent consistency that has been a hallmark of the Tin Fish ascendancy from one restaurant, to now several restaurants and going into the “full-metal-jacket” of franchising as well.
Over a couple of years now, we have dined at several of the Click-It Hot Restaurants and found the seafoods and fish to be in excellent taste and value. We just arrived home from Traditions Square Click-It Hot and from the shrimp, scallops, cod fish, Calamari (squid) their special spicy cole slaw, and mahi, mahi we are stuffed, but happy (we took home a good amount for tomorrow) campers! We also started off our meal with a solid cup of both corn and shrimp chowder, and clam chowder. Frankly, quite spectacular and I don’t offer that comment lightly! Do we recommend Tin Fish, a rousing “yes!”
Koi greet you with open mouths as you enter the Ming Dynasty!
APtravelnews-January 27th,-Bob and Barb “Stopping To Smell the Roses” in Orlando! We’ve eaten at the Ming Dynasty just down from the Orange Country Convention Center. It is a favorite of ours. 5-years ago we ate at Ming Dynasty and I remembered on this, our recent trip for the ASI Show about the really great eggplant dish they served at that time. So on this recent trip, I was hoping that their consistency was as it should be-spot on! It was! We had duck and that aforementioned eggplant dish, and I promise if I give them a 10 out of 10 (almost never get that lucky to be able to do this) you can take it to the bank! Check them out on web Ming Dynasty Orlando!
