American Press Travel News–9/8/2017-Wolf Howl Farms, TN.–Barb and I for many years head from Florida to TN for spring through the fall, and return to FL. for winter. As former Lead Photographer for FEMA, I have learned first hand, that the fight or flight ingrained in our survival tool set genetically, should be kicking in right now. You can’t fight nature’s wrath, she will win everytime. So now is the time to get away from what should be very clear to everyone in harm’s way that Irma is one big, bad tough storm. What I saw was so many spawned tornadoes that killed many dozens of people in each of the hurricane disaster I was tasked to cover for the Pres. and the Congressional Record. I covered all facets in many directions and learned run from a fight you just cannot win! So GET OUT of the way NOW!
AmericanPressTravelNews- July 3rd, Bob and Barb NOT “On the Road Again” today!
We are at our Goose Holler’s farm/ranch in TN., and with this post want to invite everyone to the idea that we all need to fight for our independence by being good, yet wary Americans concerning all aspects of what too much government can mean for our continuing independence. This is NOT a political statement, it is a warning to never be complacent, as we have seen for the past nearly two years. Now again, not being political, but being an American first, I wish everyone as much peace as possible for our quiet and happiness in our homes, neighborhoods, state and nation. Respect our flag symbol, respect our President, respect our veterans and by all means possible, show your support for our law enforcement folks all over the great U.S.A.
The beginning of making a nation! “Go West young man” was once the mantra, but now today “make America Great Again” is the mantra.
Miss Kitty the horse at Goose Holler’ and Jesse the dog love each other and live in peace, why can’t we?Our holiday lunch!
www.americanpresstravelnews.com -June 29th. I had the opportunity to visit the Chautauqua Institution, in Chautauqua, New York prior to the beginning of their summer season.
The Athenaeum Hotel
Touring the beautiful Athenaeum Hotel was a real treat. The hotel was established in 1881. The constant renovations has kept up to the standards to the history and beauty of the past, while having the up-to-date comforts to enjoy on a day to day basis for today. I would have loved to have my wedding in such a historic place. The hotel and Institution are open during the summer months. In the spring and fall months, the Athenaeum Hotel acts as a host to well-organized conferences, beautiful weddings, and special events. A Chautauqua Institution gate pass is not needed during these months. For information call : (716) 357-6250.
The Institution is home to the entertainment programs offering many events such as concerts, a dance program by the Chautauqua Ballet Company, or a show by a special guest artists and so much that are a range of special courses in music, art, dance, drama and others. There are also scholarship programs offered. Presently the Amphitheater is in the process of a complete renovation and is re-opening within the next couple of weeks. It was at the Chautauqua Institution Amphitheater, where Franklin Delano Roosevelt addressed a crowd of over 12,000 with his historic “I hate war” speech. The Institution has also been visited by a number of notable historical figures including Booker T. Washington, Susan B.
