Barbs favorite pose-about to chow-down on really great, home-made dishes!
APtravelnews-Jan 19th,-Bob and Barb, Stopping to Smell the Roses, and chowing down at St Lucie West, FL-Linda’s Restaurant, on St Lucie West Blvd. First thing we both thought, was that so far we’ve visited and experienced mom and pop food spots, this time we are dining at a son and mom restaurant. Andy and mom Linda have got it “going on.” Want really good Chili, Andy makes it, want pastries and pies as well as “jumpin'” great apple, coconut, blueberry and other delightful muffins, mom makes them. This is a 7-day per week breakfast and lunch stop, for so many dedicated patrons and after we chowed down here for a breakfast veggie omelette and a marinated chicken breast with bacon, L&T on a Kaiser Roll, that Barb ordered, you knew (as I chewed the beans and delicious beef melange of Chili) as well as trying some chicken and beef soup, that this was our “it” place for lunch and breakfast from now on. The pies, oh the pies-chocolate as smooth as any gourmet restaurants can make it ,on a homemade crust that was worth eating too! An Apple pie that looked just out of a Amish oven (the best pies are Amish and Mennonite, we’ve found as we go “On The Road Again, & Again.” Hours are: 7 Mon-Friday and 7:30 Sat: and Sun. till 2pm. Come on Barb, it’s breakfast time again (next day as I write this) lets visit cousin Linda!
Marinated chicken sandwich par excellence! The omelette was filled with mushrooms and a variety of my favorite veggies!Muffins non pariel (no peer) with coconut, apple, blueberries, etc.Our forks raced over the towards the last forkful, yeah, it was that good, we left no crumbs!Enter the hungry, exit the satisfied!Linda, always vigilant of her customers needs and constantly seeks to make sure everything stays consistently perfect!

Our Values: Meeting Member Needs: Suncoast Fly Fishers, Inc. will continuously seek to understand and meet the personal and practical needs of members. A key to attracting and retaining members is to meet or exceed their needs.

We solicit improvement ideas for our processes, services, and ourselves. We are committed to preserving our waters and marine resources. We keep searching for more productive ways to enjoy our sport.
Friendliness: SFF strives to be a friendly, inclusive, and unpretentious group of fly-fishers who have fun learning and fishing together. New members will find themselves welcomed, respected, invited, and needed. Monthly outings alternate between salt and fresh water. My old pal, Jose Wahebe, long gone but never forgotten!Missed gaff op. in Costa Rica. Dolphin Fish eventually landed was 68-pounds. Fish jumped into boat without gaff and did a number on legs and equipment before being subdued. Lesson: Never pull a “green” fish in to boat before its tired out!Any wonder why live conchs are now protected?A VIP Keys fishing buddy!Key Biscayne, before Hurricane Andrew! A favorite image I took for the Miami Herald!
When we can drive, we drive. But Vegas is just too far, so air was a choice!
APtravelnews-Jan. 12th, Bob and Barb “On The Road, Not the Air Again-Today I had a flight bought and paid for to attend the SHOT Show in Las Vegas. A couple of days ago, I picked up what turned out to be a flu-like virus. So I decided not to expose anyone else to this on an airplane or at the conference. I called Spirit Airlines and asked if I could change my flight to another time and date because of illness, I was routed over to India to work on this. I had a terrible time understanding “pigeon English” but in the end with supervisor in tow by this person (of many others) in charge of Spirits booking interests, was told I had NO options-period except to pay for a new flight, or take the flight no matter I’m sick, and no credit allowed to me. As I felt this is quite unfair, I just wanted my millions of lookers and readers to know about this. In other words; don’t expect anyone to assist you on an emergency basis at Spirit Airlines. They (at least the people detached from the American reality, except for the processing money they get) just could care less if you come aboard sick, blind, dumb or dead! I will never fly Spirit Airlines until they become human and not robotically on cruise-control with passengers reasonable requests!
