Seminole Casino Hotel in Immokalee, Florida

We won! We won! just a bit of gambling to say to ourselves that we did take a chance with a few quarters. And, it bought back a local luncheon for us in Immokalee!

American Press Travel News–March 11th,- Seminole Casino and Hotel, Immokalee, FL.-Bob and Barb “On the Road Again” – Barb and I like a great sing-along and between the Coasters and the Platters, we had one, actually hundreds of attenders did too!

Multiple Showtime on a large screen, a bed anyone can be comfortable in, updated to ultra modern fixtures and am AC that didn’t wake the dead!
The Platters show had many dancing in the isles! Oldies but immensely nostalgic goodies on full display!
Ah,, the pool! It was warm enough for us to enjoy! Clean and clear with a head and shoulder waterfall!!!!
No time for use in an overnight for us! Too busy dancing to the Platters. But, this exercise room was all there just before a swim!

We were in the lands of the Seminole Tribe of Florida: They are the “Unconquered Warriors, having never given in, or up to the American Government. They never entered to signing a treaty-the only tribe in America who did not! This is the tribe that paved the way for Native American gaming in in the country more than 25-years agoToday the Seminole Casinos, hotels and other enterprises employ 7,000 employees, and purchase more than $130.3 million in goods and services. Their new hotel in Immokalee, FL, where we stayed this past Saturday night was as modern and comfortable as any we have ever stayed in. The bed, bathroom and room amenities right down to the delightfully double bed lights, were first rate. We loved this hotel! We didn’t have a chance to dine, as the wait for restaurant on this Saturday night during prime winter time and the fact that the Coasters and the Platters were also on the menu, had this place “jumping.” For info: go: 1800-218-0007

The shower was the warm rain, the size was campable, the water handle was easy enough and safe enough for even a monkey to use without a hitch!

The casino is easily accessible from anywhere in Florida!!

Broadway Is Back at The Playhouse on Rodney Square in Delaware

APtravelnews- Wilmington, DEL 4/19/15…Big time Broadway is back at The Playhouse on Rodney Square.  Previously known as the DuPont Theatre, The Playhouse on Rodney Square’s 2015-2016 production schedule has just been unveiled.  It features six high profile Broadway favorites.  The season begins with the ever popular Annie (Dec. 1-6) followed by “Chicago – The Musical” (Jan. 2-17), “Mama Mia!” (Mar. 4-6), “Blue Man Group” (Mar. 17-20), “Forty-Second Street” (Apr. 19-24) and concludes with the riveting “Jersey Boys”
(May 10-15). The Playhouse on Rodney Square is now being managed by the Grand Opera House which is also located in Wilmington less than two blocks from The Playhouse.  Steve Bailey, the Managing Director of Programming at both the Grand and The Playhouse on Rodney Square said “We recognize the Playhouse on Rodney Square as a community asset that we are managing on their (DuPont’s) behalf.”  Executive Director Mark Fields points out that “The former 102-year-old DuPont Theatre is the longest continuously operating Broadway touring house in the country.  It’s also one of the smallest.”  According to Fields, this presents a serious challenge for The Playhouse on Rodney Square.  Therefore the budget for the new season represents a 25 percent increase over last year’s expenditures when DuPont was at the helm and the new theatre leadership has teamed up with Innovation Arts & Entertainment, an innovative Chicago-based company, to ensure the success of their commitment to book the best that Broadway has to offer.  Fields said Adam Epstein, the firm’s head, “…has the connections, and quite frankly, the clout to deliver a Broadway series in Wilmington that you (theatre patrons) want and that we think you deserve.”Season tickets are now on sale at www.theplayhousede.org, by calling 302-888-0200 and at the box office.  Packages range from $140 for a four-show package to $590 for premium weekend seats for all six shows.  Individual show tickets will go on sale in late summer or early fall.In addition to the six Broadway plays, Bailey says the 1,240-seat Playhouse will also serve as an alternate venue for concerts.  If the 1,208-seat Grand is not available, event sponsors now have the option to book at The Playhouse.  Lyn Lewis

Back From Indianapolis, We Amazed Many at The Big Archery Trade Show, With Click-It Hot!

APtravelnews-January 15th– Bob and Barb back in Port St Lucie, FL-Last week we took on 27-below degree wind chill in Indianapolis, Indiana to attend the ATA (Archery Trade Show) and assist Click-It Hot Use It Cold Company to show, tell and sell very neat reusable hand and body warmers. We worked with writers and editors as well as multi-media groups and bloggers in the Press Room, telling about these great products. It was so cold in the area that heat from the Click-It Hot’s was much appreciated and sought by just about everyone that visited the booth, and who we met in the Press Room. The individual hand and body warmer heat to 130-degrees in less than 5-seconds, and can be a lifesaver if needed by anyone developing Hypothermia, fingers or toes on the verge of frostbite, and keeping comfortable in any cool weather sporting endeavor.
